List of Participants UEFA Europa League 2011-2012

A total of 194 (161+33) clubs from 53 UEFA Associations are expected to participate in the UEFA Europa League 2011-2012. Associations are allocated places according to their UEFA League Coefficient Ranking 2009-2010, which takes into account their performance in European Competitions from 2005-2006 to 2009-2010.

With holders FC Porto qualifying for the UEFA Champions League 2011-2012 Group Stage, no side will enter the UEFA Europa League 2011-2012 Group Stage automatically. The 38 clubs who come through qualifying will join the 10 sides who lose in the UEFA Champions League Play-off Round in the Group Stage.

UEFA Europa League 2011-2012 First Qualifying Round, will be followed by 50 clubs, and 25 winners advanced to the Second Qualifying Round.

The 25 clubs with the best coefficients will be seeded and drawn against the other 25 clubs.

The 48 teams will be split into four seeding pots of twelve, and one from each pot will be drawn into twelve groups at the group stage draw.
